Awareness program organized on the occasion of World Water Day 22 march 2022
An awareness program was organized by Government Mata Karma Girls College Mahasamund on 22 March on the occasion of World Water Day. Under this program volunteers of Youth Red Cross and National Service Scheme, spread the message of water conservation by painting slogans of water conservation in the college campus and arranging water grains in Sakora and earthen nests for the sparrow birds in the college campus
Volunteers also set up nests and water bowls for birds at different places in their village Sirrikala, Baronda Bazar, Bhalesar Machewa village keeping in mind rising heat in summer.
On this occasion, Dr. Svetlana Nagal, Head of the Department of Microbiology said that the purpose of Water Day is to make people all over the world understand the importance of water conservation and inspire them to bring about change in their behaviour to prevent wastage of water. . The program officer of the National Service Scheme unit, Dr. Saraswati Verma, inspired the girl students in her village to conserve water and repent.
M.Sc Microbiology 3rd Semester Students Ku Bindeshwari, Yamuna, Yamini, Bhumika, Ruma, Vibha, Lakshmi, Prerna. K Sakshi Aggarwal, Rimsha Zareen, Toshan Chandrakar, Lekhni, Bhagyalakshmi, Venu B.Sc. Third year Jyoti Sahu, Megha Chandrakari, Jharna Sahu from the first semester made this program successful with their painting skills. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Devangan, Principal of the college encouraged the girl students for the success of the programme.
